Skintech Medical Cosmetic Laser Clinics (Box Hill, Dandenong, Glen Waverley and Melbourne CBD) specialise in the field of cosmetic skin. We use cosmeceutical products and medical grade machines.
Non-surgical cosmetic treatments that we offer include anti-wrinkle treatments by injections, Dermal Fillers, Laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) treatments, Laser hair reduction/removal, Dermaroller treatments, Lip Enhancements, Coolshaping, medical peels, Microdermabrasion, Anti-snoring treatments, laser vaginal tightening to name a few.
Staff are trained and supported by medical personnel, product and equipment suppliers and undergo continuing education programs, regular trainings, and on-going evaluations.

Selection criteria:
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Current and unrestricted registration with the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMB) as a registered nurse
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Appropriate credentialing and competence suitable for this position
Able to work as part of and contribute to a Team environment
Communication and documentation skills
Be accountable and responsible for your own actions
Must be prepared to be posted at any one of our 4 clinics and be prepared to travel
Desirable:
Previous training or experience in cosmetic procedures and treatments
Experience in sales and marketing
Competency in the use of medical and beauty equipment and software
Key responsibilities:
Clinical
Work closely with our cosmetic doctors to offer and provide non-surgical treatments and after-care services
Be accountable for maintaining and updating client records including but not limited to explaining services, procedures and treatments; recording client consent; recording date and time of agreed treatments and documenting results of treatment sessions
Responsible for total patient care - assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatments to ensure best outcomes for the client
Ensure the storage, administration and ordering of injectable stock as well as other prescribed products in accordance with company policies and guidelines
Undertake and participate in relevant audits to ensure that stock levels are maintained and recorded to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of supplies
Take responsibility to attend all training sessions as required and to keep up to date with all clinical, aesthetic and professional developments
Operational
Adhere to a strict code of professional conduct at all times
Must be highly organized and responsible for your own work and duties
Develop your own client/patient base by being friendly, approachable and trustworthy
Work with cosmetic doctors, principals and therapists to develop or maintain a suite of practice policies and procedures
Work with Sales and Marketing departments to develop promotions and plan Events
Ensure consumables, equipment and medications are kept stocked and maintained to the manufacturer’s standards and conditions including maintaining a register of stock
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Take payments from clients
Book client appointments
Retail products as appropriate
Answer incoming calls and document as necessary
Communicate with Team Leader, GM and HR to facilitate work roster schedules
Take and download client pictures into database
Assist with laundry duties as necessary
Safety and quality and culture
Participate in the clinic’s risk management and quality improvement processes
Record incidents, accidents or complaints in line with clinic policy
Practice duty of care including meeting clinic standards and accountability
Be empathetic and maintain client and clinic confidentiality at all times
Maintain the cleanliness of clinical rooms to a high standard in accordance with national standards
Maintain clinic equipment and tools in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines on use and care
Be honest and know your limitations
Documentation requirements:
Copies of current NBM and AHPRA registrations
Training in CPR, undertaken within the past three years
A current Police Check record
A current Driver’s License
Appointment factors
The applicant will be required to:
Undertake a pre-employment telephone and /or personal interview
Provide appropriate references for contact as requested
Participate in the clinic induction program
Participate in a performance appraisal process as required
Hours of work:
The cosmetic nurse will be required to work a 38 hour week or 76 hour fortnight on a roster that includes Saturdays. From time to time due to operational requirements or unforeseen circumstances, the cosmetic nurse may be required to work reasonable additional hours or after-hours as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the position, or as requested by the employer.
